The Best Gym Exercise Machines – How to Select the Best Ones For Your Fitness Needs

gym exercise machines

In order to build muscle you need to use gym exercise machines, there are plenty of ways to get them if you have the time. The problem with most people however is simply not wanting to get up and go to a gym in the first place. I know this is hard especially in the winter time. However, you cannot ignore machines because of this and you need to get to the gym even if you don’t want to be there. You do not want to miss out on any valuable training that you could get.

An Overview

Gym Exercise

Leg Press GYM PERSISTS. Heavy weighted squats and leg presses are great for beginners because they work out the quadriceps, hamstrings, calves, glutes and the lower back region all at the same time. The heavy loaded squat and the leg press machine produce a tremendous amount of downward force on the thigh floor; however, the heavier the load that you press with your legs, the higher the potential for injury and stress. As beginners it is best to start out on free weights so that you can build your muscle strength and endurance before you add any gym exercise machines.

Back Straight. Most back exercises focus primarily on the arms, shoulders and abs. If you want to work all these muscle groups then make sure you perform the exercises properly and not let yourself cheat. For example, if you are lifting the dumbbells and barbells, make sure that you keep your back straight and don’t let your knees pop out. This is very dangerous for beginners as it can cause a serious injury.

Best Gym Exercise And Equipment

Gym Exercise

Pushups. This is another great way to exercise your overall upper body strength. If you want to get functional strength, but also develop a lean, mean, muscular core, than pushups are a great way to go. Not only do they provide great upper body strength, but they build a lot of lower body endurance as well. In fact, pushups are probably one of the best all around exercises.

Pullups. Pullups are one of the main compound exercises that you will find in most gyms. Pullups are great for building upper body strength, but they are also great for functional strength and endurance. If you are a beginner, I recommend that you start out doing pullups on your own with a standard barbell or a weight bench. Pullups are by far one of the easiest exercises to learn and it doesn’t take a lot of money to join a gym and buy a pullup machine.

Treadmill Workout. While treadmills aren’t usually thought of as gym machines, they can be a very effective way to burn calories and lose weight. They can be used to improve cardiovascular fitness and strengthen legs and abdominal muscles. You can use a treadmill to do leg extensions, chest presses, leg curls, and more. Because you use your upper body weight to drive the machine, treadmills are an effective calorie burning exercise.

Exercise balls. Exercise balls are another great way to burn calories. Because the balls are so bulky, you will be able to get into great shape using the balls for a long period of time. I’m a big fan of exercise balls because they can be stored under beds or in drawers. Another great thing about using exercise balls is that you can do other exercises on them such as pushups and sit ups. A lot of gym machines don’t allow for these types of exercises, so I highly recommend using exercise balls.

Final Words

Squats. One of my favorite workouts is to simply sit down and do squats. If you’re unfamiliar with how to do squats, the first thing you’ll want to do is find a public park to sit in that has some grass. Next, lower yourself into a sitting position and then squat as low as you can.
